Kahls Yerba Mate Organic Herbal Tea in loose weight is a caffeinated beverage made from the plant yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis), which is very popular in Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, eastern Bolivia, southern Brazil and some parts of Chile. Thanks to returning Syrian migrants from South America, the beverage has also been spread in the Middle East, especially in Syria and Lebanon.
Brewing: Use water of maximum 80 degrees Celsius. Allow to soak for 3 minutes. Should not be screened, traditionally you drink with a so-called Bombilla (a kind of straw with strainer). The amount you use depends on how strong you want it. Assume that half the cup's volume should be filled with herbal tea.
